CHAPEL DEDICATION

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Christ the King Congregation, Sebrepor, joyfully dedicated its newly completed chapel to the glory of Almighty God on Sunday, 2nd August 2026.

The solemn and spirit-filled dedication service was officiated by the Rev. Col. David Adoteye-Asare, Chairperson of the Ga Presbytery, who led the congregation in committing the magnificent house of worship to God’s service. In his sermon, he encouraged members to see the chapel not merely as a beautiful structure but as a sacred place where lives are transformed through worship, prayer, fellowship, and the preaching of God’s Word. He also asked a significant question in his sermon; "where do you spend your life after exiting this world?"

A person’s name is more than just a label—it is closely connected to their identity, character, reputation, and legacy. Across many cultures and in the Bible, a good name is regarded as something of great value because it reflects how a person is known and remembered.

When a person’s name becomes stained or damaged through wrongdoing, false accusations, or repeated negative behavior, the consequences can be far-reaching. A damaged reputation can affect relationships, employment, leadership opportunities, business, ministry, and the trust others place in that individual. Even after someone changes, rebuilding trust often takes much longer than losing it.

The dedication ceremony brought together ministers of the Gospel, church leaders, members of the Christ the King Congregation, invited guests, and well-wishers from across the Presbyterian Church of Ghana to witness this historic milestone. Songs of praise, prayers of thanksgiving, Scripture readings, and acts of dedication marked the memorable occasion.

The Resident Minister and Sebrepor District Minister, Rev. Emmanuel Adjetey Quaye, expressed profound gratitude to God for His faithfulness throughout the construction of the chapel. He also thanked the Ga Presbytery, the congregation, donors, and all individuals whose sacrificial contributions, prayers, and unwavering support made the project a reality.

The newly dedicated chapel stands as a symbol of God’s faithfulness and the commitment of His people to advancing the mission of the Church. It is expected to serve as a center for worship, evangelism, discipleship, and community outreach for generations to come.
